Not sure Wastelands has ever finished a product they have released.

Doomtrader no longer seems to be here for some time now and he
was just pushing their latest release ,SWIE,on Wargamer for $9.99.

To bad.Lots of potential in TOF.

Status: offline 		Read on, and you'll find out some very GOOD things about this game.

ToF was a finished product when it was released, fully functional. All the problems we currently have with it were introduced when Wastelands decided to give us MORE features in 1.02. You can fault Wastelands for not properly testing those new features, and some bugs introduced in 1.02, but you cannot justifiably fault them for a bad release. All you have to do is look at some of the AARs to see that it's a great game.

Status: offline 		Doomtrader;the fact still reamins that the game as it is now,
and was when I purchased it,full of numerous bugs. It is basically
a fantasy game.

What is worse is that you give no indication that these will be fixed.
About two weeks ago you said a patch was held up because of work on SWIE.

Now it is because of windows 8.

I see little hope for this game in the near future. And it
is probably in such shape that whoever is still available at Wasteland
cannot help.

Status: online 		emerlee, we have found that there is a huge stability issue with Win8 on SWiE. Now we are working on this, and we have to redo a part of memory management process.
From my past experience I know it is better to hold on for a while longer and make the things right.
I'm really sorry that the game is not as polished as we would like it to be, but as you can see, we are not stopping to support our products and working hard to improve them. Even if this means postponing the patches and future games.

Time of Fury is really huge, and open ended game, which means that even minor changes (fixes or improvements) can affect really huge parts of code.

It would be good to have an archive of back updates for those who need to roll back to earlier versions and did not have an opportunity to download them when they were first issued. Perhaps added to the Mod List in this Forum http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2978817, especially as there is a long term problem with the later updates. It would be a good gesture to make, whilst these problems are resolved.

Status: offline 		I must say I'm disappointed. I haven't really played a game in about 6 months now. I bought ToW, thought it was a great concept that was never fully realized, and basically shelved it. Then ToF came along, and since it had a discount for ToW owners and looked like it was what the original should have been, I swallowed my apprehensions and bought it. That was last December. Won't go into the various issues--some consider them "game breaking" and some not-- but never felt like I ever had a "finished" game. Two comparisons come to mind:

- When you keep taking your car to the shop for a repair, and they do it but but keep leaving something out so you have to go back again and again and again. You can still drive the car, but that's not the point.

- The credit card commercial with "Peggy", where he says about the flashing phone lights "So pretty!" This game is GORGEOUS in my opinion, but ultimately it doesn't matter if there are so many "bugs" in gameplay (supply, combat, movement, etc.)

And now the fixes are delayed even more while an issue with Win 8 for another game is sorted out. I understand, but I have essentially been waiting a YEAR to play this (TWO YEARS if you count ToW), and soon I'm just not going to care anymore. Nor am I likely to buy another Wastelands game until it's been out for awhile and thoroughly reported on by the community. I'm not angry or disgusted or anything like that, just sad.

Status: online 		The thing is that the engine bugs are affecting both Strategic War in Europe and Time of Fury. Some of them might not be visible in one or another game becasue the settings were different.
However we have one more thing to fix, and planning to deliver the patches as soon as possible. Even as zipped files.

Status: offline 		I was just going to start playing a game for a check of it and compare it to Battlefront's Global Conflict to see the differences. I liked the Global Conflict game and the user made campaigns with the historical link to Advanced Third Reich

No other game comes close to giving you all the choices and challenges that faced Churchill, Roosevelt, Stalin and Hitler. No other simulation integrates the naval, land, and air battle and makes each as important as they actually were. No other game gives you the opportunity to explore the great "what ifs" of history in the 1940s. This is the game we have have been waiting for...

Now if we can only get it to work properly...
