I was told years ago that Matrix planned to do a modern version of Steel Panthers. I don't see one or is that Battle Academy game supposed to be it?

Around 2006 there was talk of Steel Tigers but it seemed to just fade away.

Battle Academy reminded a lot of us of SP but the lack of terrain elevations and leaders makes it different.

Graphics style of that game turns me off even if it is good and the battle maps are far smaller than SP had. I would like SP with very realistic looking graphics and not cartoon tanks.

Does the CTD issues and the game freezing if you press the "set range"-button issues still exist) Been thinkin gabout buying the full version, but if those issues are still there, I do not think a purchase is warranted for me. Love the game though.

milkweg..Combat Leader..was cancelled..and still an open wound for me. Then they where going to do Close Assault which was set in the Pacific and realtime whereas CL was turn based and set in the East front.

Terje439 did you mean "T" Target button ? I don't see a "set range" in SPwaw ?

If you mean the "T" button then the answer is .....I don't have any problem with XP or Win7 on 5 versions of SPwaw or any add ons, but I don't have any fancy add on video cards, just a plain jane machine(s). Why don't you just download the FREE Version and test it out ?

Nah, the "Y" (I think it is). Will lock the game up. Have tried the free version, that is where I had those issues
