Don't know if this is a bug/change or what. I've got a TF loading in Miri for the past month (since turn 251 nor 283). For the first 5 days it loaded oil Ok but has since slowed down to little more than a trickle, the trickle being the difference between it's refinary needs and oil production. The game seems to be keeping the oil at Miri around 6000 give or take a view.

I can't remember how much is needed but the base is most likely trying to keep the refinery going. You can check in the refinery section of the industry screen to see how much is required for the refineries to run. Regardless you'd be much better served getting small TKs in here that can dock. Loading oil without docking takes a very long time.

Also, those are some pretty valuable ships for the kind of escort you have there. For one it's slower than the TKs, thus making the whole TF more vulnerable to sub attack, and two just one escort is probably not enough.

I think base will request double of daily need of oil. So if Miri have 300 refineries base will requesting 6000 oil.

And Obvert is right. PB for 3 big tankers. Definitely You need to give them something better.

Yes I know. When I took Miri there was a lots of oil there requiring these large TK to sift it quickly. This was the last run with them from Miri, oh and I do have a E in Miri which was originally part of the TF.

OK so it seems to be part of game design but has it changed recently? I finished playing the Allies a while ago and do not remember seeing this.

OK must be because I was playing the allies that I didn't notice, no factories etc.

Happens in LA (well that is where I have answered the most questions about this) Grafin is on the money.

What worries me the most is you trying to protect those pretty tankers with slow PBs. Give that TF at least something that matches speed..

Maybe a dumb question, but why are you loading oil at all when fuel is available? These guys could be heading home by now.

Hehe that single picture is indeed showing a sacrilege for any Japanese logistic wizard on so many levels.

Wrong tankers (one uses medium or small ones at these ports)

Not docked (see above)

Wrong escorts

Loading oil while plenty of fuel is available

Aaaah I feel so nerdy now.

I still find myself lost and gaping at it periodically. I just hope it never gets into my dreams!

As Rodney Dangerfield used to say while nervously adjusting his necktie, "Tough crowd, tough crowd." Poor guy posts a simple question and you JFBs point out all kinds of blasphemies.

And yes, the Grafin has the best avatar.

Cheers,
