A more dynamic counter

Post by Skeleton »

Does anyone have any plans to make a more dynamic looking counter? Love the game, easy yet with enough depth to be compelling. The counters just look so ordinary.

I was thinking about doing something to make the NATO counters better. But as of now I'm busy with the AAR and having fun with the game [:'(]

Could you post some examples of what you consider "good looking counters"? I'm not really a counter user myself, but would like to know what can be improved about them.

Staying with a WW1 theme; the counters that were modded for GOA are excellent in my opinion.

I know I'm probably the only one but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the old S&T magazine game counters.

ohhhh Yes - these are very nice. You still have the NATO symbols (a must for me) but with room for identification and a flag - perfect.

Flag on the counter would be nice indeed,do wish we could get an Imperial German battle flag option, but that is just me.

no, you are not the only one who love the old S&T mag counters(I think I have all of those but a couple).
This would be great!

Here's something i threw together - i don't think i can do this all the way through with the different types of units that are available. Also, I'm copying and pasting someone else's artwork (delete if necessary moderator) but here's what the hats look like:

Personally, though I too have very fond memories of the old SPI World War 1 game, though I think I would prefer the NATO symbols rather than the little helmets/hats.
