CL-78 USS Dayton, a Cleveland Class CL, was completed as CVL-28 Monterey,
an Independence class carrier.

The problem is, Stock and mods based on it, have USS Dayton as Ship Slot 3299
as well as USS Monterey as Ship Slot 3028.

The ships are shown correctly as Cleveland and Independence class. But both
ships should not exist at the same time.

Here's one of my favorite shots of a Cleveland Class CL

I prefer 'em in MS 32 but boy these folks could build a ship.

CL-105 = USS Dayton

So I am not clear what the point of the comment may be?

I do see a duplicate issue however:

Slot 3301 is USS Tallahassee CL-61
She was completed as CVL-23 Princeton

There are no discrepancies in the stock DB for Scenario #1

This is the CL area of the Stock DB listing from WiTP:AE editor and the ship's tab

The highlighted area that shows that slot 3301 is does not have anything in it.

This highlighted area shows that all of the Cleveland class CLs are properly listed for appearing during the WW2 time frame of the game

Here is the CVL listing of the stock scenario#1 of WiTP:AE and it lists all the Indy class CVL's properly for those that appeared during the time line of the game.

So where is the error?

Most likely the error only exists in Sid's own scenario.

Sulu

The cleveland's are a fine looking ships, but the brooklyn's are the hotties. Now if only I could figure out which brain cells stopped working and remember how to make an image show up so I can show off my pictures of brooklyn's.

I only post IF it is present in stock, unmodified. In fact, I don't think stock can be modified - at least not by me.
The scenario data refuses to permit changes to be saved.

However, I looked and just like the above posters stated, slot 3301 is completely blank.

Obviously I have a special disk from Matrix, in that case.

I do not know how to alter data in scenario 1. If I see it, I report what I see.
If it isn't an issue in your copy, great.

Cid,

Did you think that maybe you may have mixed your various mods together and while editing one, that you saw something which shouldn't be there (or should be there) while thinking it was the stock? I know that has happened to me while modding other games that while busy digging into something and looking at reams of data and a 1024x768 screen of data being refreshed at 60hz for well over three plus hours I start to go cross eyed and start to see things that aren't there that should be and stuff that should be there but isn't. I would highly suggest that you install a clean fresh copy and look again with open eyes to see if the mistake is there.
