I just downloaded SOW and it works OK on my work laptop with an ATI shipset. But on my home laptop with Intel graphics, it looks like anything beyond the commanders vision is black. Do I have a setting wrong on the home laptop?

Hm. Could be a driver issue. I would start with downloading the latest drivers for your graphics controller.

I have the up-to-date drivers, the power is on, it's plugged in, etc. I assume no one else has had this issue. The Intel graphics has issues with some games using OpenGL and I wasn't sure if SOW was directX or OpenGL.

SoW is all done in DX9 which nearly everything PC wise *should* be able to handle. How much system RAM and video RAM do you have on the troubled system?

I was set to post that i have a intel hd 3000 series and am using it without issue......but i haven't played in about a week and a half and have recently updated my driver for the chip with a driver from intel. After reading your post i went in and started up the game and I cant read any of the text on the game screens, the graphics look fine....so i roll back the driver to the previous one, which worked...no joy....so i go back to the original driver, which worked ..no joy. So now i know i'm headed for a reinstall. After fresh reinstall,[no mods] i still cant read the text, but i changed a setting in the graphic control panel and i can read the text fine now. I switched some media settings to driver control rather than application control. All i'm saying is that it will play on the intel HD series integrated graphics, it's most likely a driver or settings issue. Hang in there. If you have a 3000 series and want my driver version i'll be happy to post it. I'm going to go reinstall all the mods and see if it see works ok. Good luck.
