Why is that out of 38 fighters and 16 bombers, on the unit listing there are only 28 aircraft listed? Is this WAD?

Looks like truncated report on the right. I've seen it in the past, but was not able to replicate it.

I guess that a save from start of turn will not help here?

Ideally we need repeatable save prior the battle with truncated report.

That was the only regular battle this turn, so maybe it's easy to repeat. Other than that there was 1 attack on the partisans and 6 supply drops for partisans. I have asked my opponent if he could repeat the battle and issue.

May it be possible that some air units turned back due to taking losses and low morale/exp ?
Or did the numbers not even match at the beginning of the battle?

It looks as a display issue.

Another turn, another attack in the same place, battle report once more truncated (5 ftr and 4 bmr on Soviet site, yet the report ends at "Southwestern Air Command" line).

Can you please send Axis turn 32 since that is what will show the Soviet attack on turn 31? I will probably also need the Soviet players password with instructions on how to recreate the attack since we need to run debug during the actual attack, not just see the results in the window. Thanks.
