Trade

Post by largo »

Hi,

how to trade Supernova?
I have an alliance with the Xspectrotrada Imperium
I have one of my colonies near their colony
I built a trade mission on their planet
I have in my colony a marketing space port.
but I have no commercial return [:(]
This is due to the lack of landing space on the planet of my allies?

Thank you for your answers [&o]

Hey Largo! A few questions for you:

1.) Which race are you playing as?

2.) Exactly how close is your colony to your ally's colony?

3.) What type of trade/tourism goods does your colony have?

3a.) Is that a Commercial Spaceport or a Passenger Spaceport you have on your colony?

Hi Martok [:)]

1) Human Race

2) 3 turns (or rounds). Is there a maximum distance to trade?

3) I don' t know. Where can you see what you need or what our ally needs? is it visible in the "table Review trade/Set Embargos" (screen diplomacy)?

if I put a red cross in "total trade embargo" and "cultural items", it appears a value for "total exports" of $164 and a $80 "total Customs Duties"
I think ,I had no business because I wondered embargo [8|]

Now, I see on the map of the planets, a "trade road"
I'm happy![:'(]

3a)I have a Commercial Spaceport in my colony....but my ally has no business space port or Landing Station [&:]

Yes. Your "exporting" colony must be within 24 squares of the "importing" colony(ies).

To check to see how many squares apart they are, click the "show grid" icon in the upper-right corner of the main map screen (click here for an example).

It's not what your neighbor needs, it's what your colonies have to export (whether trade goods and/or tourism).

To see if a colony has something to export, click a colony, and then look in the upper-middle spot (again, see examples here and [link=http://<a href="http://s1108.photobucket.com/albums/h41 ... onders.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h41 ... onders.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>]here[/link]).

So long as you have a trade mission built on your ally's colony, you should be fine.

However, to trade with your *own* colonies, you will need Landing Stations built on them.

2) if you go by "Large Wormhole", the squares between two Wormholes should count too?

3) there is no picture for the second example [;)]

3a) how can we see the trade or tourism between my *own* colonies? there is no "connection" (or "line") between my *own* colonies

To be honest, I can't remember how trade distance works with wormholes. [:(] I want to say that two star systems on either side of the wormhole *can* trade with each other, but don't quote me on that.

Oops, you're right! I'll try and fix that.

If you have trade/tourism between your colony and another colony, a light gray line with tiny moving "ships" will appear (representing a trade route). If you place your mouse cursor on that line, it will tell you exactly what kind of goods are being traded (and how much).

If there's no trade line between colonies, then no trading/tourism is taking place.
