One of my resource mining ships has become stuck. It has 4 cargo bays and I discovered enhanced storage while it was mining. So that gives it a cargo space of 2600. When it reached 866 units of gold and lead it stopped mining them. It then somewhat later reached 867 units of steel and stopped mining it as well. It has been stuck for some time now, not mining anything and not returning its cargo. The resources add up to 2599 units. Screenshots below.

Beyond reporting the problem for future fixing I'm wondering if anyone has any immediate advice about how I can get my miner back into play. Is there no other option than to blow it up?

Looks like a legitimate bug. You have no control over civilian ships, however - your only real option is to delete it in the editor. At least if you delete it, you aren't getting the maintenance bill for it.

I just clicked on the 'scrap' button.  No need for the editor.  (I was hoping there might have been some trick I was not aware of to effect its behaviour.)

Yes I think it is a bug.  Nothing complex though.  As I pointed out it stopped mining gold and lead at 866 units a piece which is just less then 1/3 of its cargo space, and then had the misfortune to stop exactly at 867 units of steel.  Should be easy to fix by loosening the requirements in the code regarding completion of mining and return of cargo slightly, or implementing a check for this sort of situation.  First time I have seen it and no doubt it is very rare.  Might have had something to do with the upgrade to cargo space which happened during mining throwing the routine off?
