Air operations of carriers at base/dot hex are significantly reduced, did you know that? This rule applies to CVs and CVLs. Only CVEs can operate planes at base hex without penalty. So it's better to keep carriers out of base hex if you want to use their planes...

I did not know that Puhis dude. Thanks for saying something because I DO indeed have the CV's in a base hex. D'oh. Well, now I know.
I was kinda wondering where the rest of the carriers planes were.

IIRC I raised that issue once - and was corrected in that it used to be that way in WITP but no longer in AE. My memory on the matter might be imperfect so it's best to put the query out there in the main AE forum.

No need for a query really. I will believe just about anything you tell me. So if air ops are reduced at dot/base hexes according to you
then I believe it. It is correlated with the significantly lower number of planes in the last carrier raid(s) I did near Kwajalien lately.

Oh, but I might not be remembering this one fully. A query would be a good idea!

Ah HA. So........Jim has another surface group about 400 miles to the west of Kwaj. I'll have to decide who to chase the crippled ships
left over from the Kwaj. fights or this new surface group that's killing my AO's. I think the invisible AO killers are more important if I can
just find them.

That new surface group of Jim's is after another of my AO's. He'll probably get it eventually.

It's starting to appear that the USS Idaho is unbreakable or something. Other ships would have gone down by now.

Hakkodate has run low on resources ( low because it has a Light Industry complex in that hex as well ) so I'm running the TF's that are
parked there loading already or the empty ones for that matter, up to Shikoku to take away some of the 107K resources that are up
there so far. S. is a one-shot source for resources though so when that's gone I'll have to take my business elsewhere for resources.

There's an enemy unit potentially creeping up on Kota Bharu and I'm pretty sure he's going to get there before I can convey the 9th Inf
Rgt there. It's going to take about 5 days to get the 9th Inf Rgt to Kota B. and so I'm wondering if I ought to move all those planes and
maybe relocate the vulnerable engineers to a different location. I don't mind him taking back the city so much as I would miss the
services of all the engineers he could possibly kill. And planes he could potentially destroy.

Here's all the TF's unloading right now in Hirosaki/Amomori and that's a lot of resources being unloaded. The only other major port worth
mentioning is Tokyo and Yokohoma. There's a smattering of resources coming in from Kiejo but it would only amount to a spit in the lake.

The port damage at Zamboanga is now only 15% and all the ships under repair have some non-zero days now. They used to have '0'
for the days in repair and you couldn't change the status of the ship. But that was when the damage to the port was higher.

order the information is coming to me. I'm getting the info to you as I get it.

Here's the resource history of the Jap home islands. Fuel is still leaving the islands at a tremendous rate, about 100K per week. I'm
going to have to cut back on the offensive operations and see if I can manage to fuel everybody from Palembang, Miri, and Balikpapan.
And Tarakan. It's got to happen or the war is over already.

There were three separate Jap night air attacks on Darwin but there were no losses and no damage so I'm skipping them. Meanwhile

I successfully intercepted the path of some Allied DD's and put a hurt on them. My ships are probably short on fuel and beat up so I'm
going to retire this CA, 2 X DD group to Kwajalien to rearm, refuel, and refit. That BB group to the east of the Allies will attempt an
interception now on the remaining Allied ships.
