Does anyone have ATG running on Windows 8 Preview release? Windows 8 releases October 26 and I'm planning on making the upgrade from Windows 7. I'd like to know that it isn't going to adversely affect Advance Tactics Gold.

Can't say. I never even made the jump to Windows 7. Too much bad press.

You can always use virtual machine with Win XP. Didn't test but it should work.

I recall some but not a lot of bad press on 7. Mostly one off stuff , things that seemed to only happen to a couple people. I bought it when I got my new machine. Ya ever one hated Vista LOL.

My experience with Win 7 has been great. It's a huge improvement over XP. It still has the Vista legacy issue of "compatability view" files but it's something that I can work around.

Well, if you can spare $40 you might want to get a copy and hold on to it as Windows 8 Pro (download) is selling for that price at least through the end of January 2013. That is a huge discount compared to what Windows 7 Pro cost ($199 I believe). A boxed version for Windows 8 Pro is selling for $70.
