BOSTON: MUST see USS Constitution and take the "Duck" Tour. Both are a blast and wonderful to experience. Steeping onto the Constitution was a religious experience for me...

Status: offline 		You might want to think about Louisiana/Texas for a future trip Roger, New Orleans and the surrounding areas have lots of Ante Bellum plantation homes plus lots of histoical spots in N.O...Texas has San Antonio area (Spanish Mission Trail plus Alamo) and lots of Natural diversity.......you can go from Piney woods of ETexas (Caddo Lake) to costal plains of the Gulf Coast (Battleship Texas & San Jacinto Monument), southern edge of Great Plains in NTexas/Panhandle (Palo Duro Canyon Park) to the Deserts of W Texas with 2 National Parks, Big Bend and Guadelupe (which isnt far from Carsbad Caverns Park either).

Status: offline 		I climbed Mt Washington and while its not "hard" it is a good day climb but well worth it. If that is not in your plan, you can drive up the mountain or take the train to the top. It is well worth spending the day there.

Status: online 		Original plan did involve a somewhat different in= itinerary that visited New orleans as well. Was VERY costly so had to ditch it. Would still love to do that, but flights to there are significantly more pricey than to Eastern Seaboard.

Maybe another year.

Status: offline 		If you are going to visit the USS CONSTITUTION, save some time for the USS CASSIN YOUNG, which is tied-up on the same pier. How often do you get to tour a genuine Fletcher-class WWII-era DD?

When I toured, it was a slower day, and I sweet-talked the Ranger into taking us in the engine spaces. FUN!

PS: If you really want to geek-out on Pac War ships, the USS MASSACHUSETTS is in Fall River, MA, and open for tours. It's on your route, would just be a pull-off
