My project was to see how reassignments to different kinds of HQs work. HQ reassinment .............. c1 .. c2 .. top .. nav .. air .. gnd AirUnit .... y .. d1 ... y ...... n ..... y ..... n ShipUnit . y .. d1 .. d2 ..... y ..... n ..... n LandUnit . y .. y .... y ...... n ..... y ..... y c1 is a Command HQ (a 10) that reports to itself. c2 is a Command HQ (a 10) that reports to someone else. top is any other HQ (nav, air, gnd) that reports to itself. d1 - weird things happen if an HQ reports to a Command HQ that reports to somebody else. needs a bit more looking at what kinds of subordinate HQs there are under this type. d2 – not unless that top HQ is also a naval HQ. So far so good except for land units that can reassign to air units. Why? Naval land units (SNLF, and things) can't reassign to Naval HQs that they did, and naval air units can't reassign to Naval HQs that they did, so wtf is up with the Kwangtung Army reassigning to some peenie air brigade? I don't know what it takes, but make the engine prevent a land unit from transfering to an Air HQ. You do it already for ships and you do it for Airgroups, what is up with land units? Do you think I should post my results on the main forum? um okay I wont. Don't know why not but I'll leave that to other people.
