I'm playing a game against someone where we're using different versions of the game. He's got 1.06(ish) and I'm on 1.05.45 I think. I'm axis, so we started the game in 1.06 and it seems to have all the features of that version. We're also accidentally playing on easy I think.

The game seems to be playing ok, but seems a lot easier on the Germans than I'm used to, and I'm just wondering if having different patch versions or the easy difficulty setting could be a problem.

having different patch is not a problem per se
but being 1.05.45 i think that russian fort will last longer
easy difficulty will help germany till blizzard where side will change

It is best if both players are playing same version, otherwise you may get different results between you.

Both players should always have the same patch level, otherwise you might get unexpected or unbalanced results.
