Status: offline 		One of my mates did 2 tours there as a Commando. I asked him if we are winning the hearts and minds because the Australian Defence Force has a good reputation for getting on with locals and we're building schools and hospitals etc there like mad.

He said, "Well, when we roll into a village, the kids all smile and wave, but if you don't give them water bottles they start chucking rocks at you. Basically they just see us as another bunch of foreign invaders and we'll p!ss off eventually".

I'm beginning to think we should have turned that joint into a glass parking lot and said, "Who's next? That's right...nuclear freaking weapons...you screw with the West and that's what you get".
