I am interested in starting up a 2 v 2.
My team mate will be Lazyboy. We are both reasonably experienced players and we wil be operating under a unified command structure ( supreme commander).
We will accept any challengers.
I am involved in several large team matches and I personally find them more enjoyable than single matches.
I expect that we will play one and occasionally two turns per week and that the game will last 6-8 months (based on past games)

The game settings will be as folows:
xx-large map
no shroud, but fog of war will be on
full nations
use resources
full climate range
dry world-pangeac continents

As for the map, when I generate a game, I am so worried that my opponents will cry foul, that I keep regenerating until it is very even, or I start with slight dis-advantage, so be assured that you will have an equal chance to win at start of game.
We will begin as soon as we have two opponents.

Status: offline 		I am new to the forum and not the most experienced if you can't find any better takers I'll give it a try. Confused on setting Pangea means only one continent but the description states continents does this mean continents with a naval element or just one continent.

Status: offline 		Pagea continents just seems to keep them larger as opposed to giving you a continent and several small useless islands on the periphery.
We would be happy to get you in on this.

It is all just for ****s and giggles anyway right?
Ok, we posted the challenge, you gentlemen may choose your Supremo, generate map and go first.
I entreat you to be noble when generating the map and to try to obtain a map that is more or less equal. (eg. no one's capitol isolated and undefendable).

xx-large map
no shroud, but fog of war will be on
full nations
use resources
full climate range
dry world-pangeac continents

We generally play these with no PBEM protection (so we can save, turns take hours sometimes).
Up to you gentlemen in that regard.

This way you can be sure that you wont get screwed on rail and or city placement and you have the first chance to declare war.
I trust you to be a man of honor and to not try to deliberately screw us.

I prefer no PBEM protection as these turns can take hours to complete.
I am ok with it on or off but prefer it off.

Status: offline 		I did make a map and went to Random.org and rolled for starting positions I won Hatem was second and you were last so I decided nope I will let someone else do it. Perhaps in the future incarnations of the game vic can include a auto die roll for starting positions that is transparent. Until then since its your party you can make the map and decide who gets to go first.

Status: offline 		we usually run thes things like this, both of one team goes, then both of the other, with supremo going first for each team.
If I am first then Lazy should be second. You guys are still welcome to go first or we will, dont matter.
Just rename the game in the dropbox and carry on.

Status: offline 		I have restarted the game with the settings listed in my first post.

I am the brownish one in the middle.
Lazy is in the upper right.
Your team's Supremo(he always goes first) is the greenish one.
Your team's Sub Commander is the pinkish one.
Map loop is on.
I will complete my turn today sometime and put it in the dropbox for Lazy.
Decide who your Supreme Commander will be and leave word so that Lazyboy knows who to name it for.

On closer examination, I concluded that the map was very unfair to whoever would be stuck as your Supremo.
I will regenerate until I come up with something better. I really wish for the map to be as even as possible so our decision may be reached by skill and not by initial positioning on the map.
I will start one asap and put a screenshot in folder. If any one has an objection to what I put in let me know.

Status: offline 		I have made a new map and will complete my turn today sometime and send off to Lazy.
I would like to start a new standard procedure for team games.
As one side starts to win and the game becomes less fun for the other, the game tends to slow down.
If you are going on vacation let us know ahead of time and this wont count for the following.
If a player does not take his turn within 7 days of it being available to him, his partner has 3 days to complete the turn or it is considered a surrender.
Does this sound fair to everyone?
This obviously means that we should make our passwords known to our team mates.

Status: offline 		Sounds fine to me just completed a series of 1V1 games completed 3 to 4 turns a day. If you sign up for these games it is not unreasonable for you to have forfeited the game if you refuse to complete a turn within a reasonable time frame. But I feel some people beleive if they simply refuse to complete their turn somehow it means they were never defeated !!! mind boggling. If you refuse to complete a turn you were not only whooped but you have shown that you are to childish to admit that you were whooped a double whammy. Sounds like a rant but I have been a victim of the absentee ATG recently.

Status: offline 		The idea here is to engage in operational warfare. If it is a complete washout when we rematch, we can mix up the teams so that everyone gets to see how it works. This is Lazyboy's first time as a Sub Commander and he will need to see how it works from the inside. This way he can take Supremo for his turn in the second game.

Status: offline 		I must apologize I will have to drop out of this game I have way to much on my plate at the moment. I would not be able to give this game the attention it deserves. And I beleive as Mean says you should not enter into these games unless you can give them 100%
