What is a good number of armament points to have? Currently have
96000+ in the pool. How long will that last?

Depends of date. Late-war Japan gets quite a lots of reinforcements. You should probably keep around 3 Divisions worth of points.

Also depends, how many units you are rebuilding.

The date as inqistor has pointed out is important for another reason as well.

Once Japan comes within bombing range with B29's etc, you'll need a substantial cushion of saved armament points once the bombs knock out vital industries.

If you use tracker, there is a extrapolated demand line against your production.  you want to be sure you stay on top of that line.  Below it, you won't have the ARM pts when the units (44/45) appear.

The exact production you need is highly dependent upon your game ... if you suffer a lot of losses and use a lot of replacements you will need all the ARM pts you can get (like ME ).  If you are Mike, who somehow manages to lose almost no squads and hardly ever uses replacements and still has good outcomes, you will be able to turn many ARM factories off.
