Significant earthquake with tsunami potential occurred a few hours ago. This is just east of Baybay (reference for us WITP:AE folks).

Tsunami warning cancelled. This is a good thing. Lots of 4.8-5.4 range aftershocks, but the depth (33km) of the initial incident is helpful in this case.

Reading on the site you linked to (neat site, BTW) indicated that the maximum amplitude of the generated tsunami was 0.1 m anyways. Must have been the depth of the quake and the nature of the fault slippage.

Yes, the depth and the subduction moving down instead of pushing up (like the Sumatra tsunami) played great rolls in keeping this event to a 10cm wave.

Also, Google Earth and the USGS have a great way to keep track of the location of these quakes.
