Calculating Supply Cost?

Post by dereck »

Is there a way I can calculate the amount of supply a B-17 squadron, for example, would use per raid? Would it have anything to do with the number of bombs they use and, if so, what do i use for the calculation? The load cost of the bomb or what?

Thanks

There is a formula in the manual 15.4. It is maximum load divided by 1000 per plane which flies on offensive mission.

A B-17 eats 56 supplies on a single raid? Is this really correct? I regularly launch 200 4E raids but haven't noticed them draining 11000 supplies per day. I'd say I'm 100% sure they don't as my 4E bases usually have something like 80,000-100,000 supplies and don't run dry after a week's bombing. [&:]

The picture shows the unit with "Max planes: 8", "Planes Ready: 8", "Suppyl/Day: 56" and none repairing or in reserve. That would be 7 supply/plane. MaxLoad is 6800 for the B-17€, but i guess after being divided by 1000, its rounded to 7.

Supply is only expended for the planes that fly in a phase. So only the max possible can be shown, not the actual expenditure for the turn.

So theoretically one could mod a game to increase supply consumption by increasing the Maxload value of the aircraft in the game.

This increase in value, if I understand correctly, will not affect the loadout actually carried by the aircraft...just the supply expended.

Hmm....
