I'm building a tweak real fast that will add a game varient to allow you to give germany x2 replacements.
So you will be able to play stock case blue or tweak germany if you want.


Also while i'm in there i'm thinking of adding a German Infantry Division 1944 TOE that will require less manpower similarly to reality. Then you can (if you desire) do "change model" on german infantry divisions that you want to use less manpower w/o having to futz with replacement values.

It's an easy tweak when it's done tonight i'll link to the scenario in the scenario bank.

If i can get it squared away i'll add in a tweak to the dimissal code to not end the game. On the todo list would be to implement the idea to have prestige points be awarded for duration of holding an objective. But no promises on that.

'44 Infantry TOE was easy enough to add

Just so everyone can see the math.

'39 division (multiple X 100)
27(people per regiment) * 3 (number of regiments) = 81 (total people in division)

'44 division (went from 9 battalions to 6 effectively cutting of 1 regiments worth of troops even though it kept the same 3 regiment structure)
81(total from '39 division)-27(one regiments worth of troops in a '39 regiment) = 54 (new total of what should be in a '44 division)

54 / 3(number of regiments) = 18

so new regiments will have 18 infantry instead of 27.

Ok after testing it drops an infantry division from 28ishPP to 23PP which makes sense since most of the PP of an infantry division comes from its artillery component. And a '44 Infantry division kept its full artillery component. Ok now to add in the german extra replacements varient.

Actually going to add a variant for doubling soviet replacements too. :) Guess in a way it will also serve as a handicap for anyone player oliver41 ;)

also guess i might as well add a SS Panzer Division Model while i'm in here tooling around since vic modeled them incorrectly as SS Motorized. Silly vic vic.
Though i can see why after 2000+ lines in that editor i'd say screw it too. hehe

OK, not sure that's going to work in my mod which is focused on being as close to historical as I can get it. The SS stats you posted were a great help though.

Heh no worries reds. I mostly just made the case blue extra scenario for me and the people i play with. I am always a fan of things that give players choice and flexibility. And with everyone screaming that germany has no chance well this mod gives them a little more flexibility to use if they really think they don't have a chance. heh

Yea it's a possiblity. One of the first script that runs when the game starts is to take units and kill stuff off so it starts with a TOE that shows that it's been in combat for awhile.
My changes i'm going for are to just give more flexibility. You could have 100 gamers play and come up with 100 different styles for how they like to play. :) For me personally having some control over my units TOE is a nice and it helps the replacement level to be a little more relevant. One thing I've found is you can set an hq to REPL priority but it appears it's not setting it's subordinates as PRIORITY though.

Going to also add in some of the different soviet rifle TOE's and such.

few other ideas i'm toying with.

wow: world of wow. i really like to see you guys starting to mod the game. and i was hoping since i first heard that DC2 will come with an editor for AT:G scenario designers to jump in here and do some of their magic. just to hear that you try to import AT maps makes me go happy happy joy joy.

Those events can be turned off, which leaves every unit at 100% TOE on game start. The other option is to run them in the Editor, then turn them off and finally edit the unit strengths as you wish. This gives a bit of randomness but allows you to control the situation to your liking.

it's a cool UI but it makes me sad some of the cool stuff like research and prod gets pulled out. But i guess thats how you validate it being a separate paid product which is cool. ;)
I'd buy them both anyway i just wish i could get research squared away and other neat things.

But really i can do it all with cards and events it's just like old school ATG.

Yea.
I am thinking i'm going to make mountain troops to be their own SFTYPE too since you know they just use infantry. They should a different SFTYPE that is a duplicate of infantry but they fight and defend better in mountains then mere mortals.
