I plan on holding it. I just finished turn 11 and and GHC is only 3 miles closer then this picture. Most hexes are 25 CV with another 25 cv behind that. Its a big blob of units now in lvl 3 forts.

I am shifting forses north from south as all industry is out and just retreating a few hexes a turn.

I should have done a TDV and shifted 30 divisions from south to Leningrad front, but its my first game as SHC so live and learn.

I did very poorly in this area. Next time around I need to rail atleast another 12 divisions into area from south as south is basicly a non factor. Good game play on GHC part.

Status: offline 		South is basicly going all delaying checker baord rest of the game.

Retreat 3 to 4 hexes a turn as this will be with drawing as fast as railheads advance. Then 4 layers of checker board.

Nothing left down here so forses will with draw northward. SHC will have to form up several Corp lvl Cav armys soon for blizzard O

Center a pocket is made but I break it open. The dudes will die, but I should be able to hold GHC up for 3 turns, which will save Moscow.

Leningrad was a total failure. Rail in a bunch more from south.

Moscow has been a cake walk so far. Easy set up reserve army right and dig 4 fort belts, fill in holes with training unit by the time GHC is near you have 12 deep of 2 to 4 lvl forts with flanks covered.

Rostov and AGB is a draw so far. River defence was good, but I needed to fight forward more. Checker board is safe but gimppy doesn't really stop anything.

Over all for my first 41 summer not bad. Basicly from what I see the blizzard is HUGE for SHC.

Fun so far.

Status: offline 		the centeral pocket looks relativly stable except the hex with the single MOT DIV which can be attacked from 3 sides.

with a little bit luck you can buy yourself 3-4 turns by reopening the pocket several times and hold his armor in this place.

I did try, but a no go.

We are on turn 16 and Moscow will hold.

It will all come down to how I do in blizzard.

I think the RR are just to far away to do a left and right hook vs as many troops as I have. Only 2.5 million in losses, which is low.

One of the things I like about the right hook it is a winner no matter what.

You hit the one thing it will do no matter if you take Leningrad or not. SHC is forsed to commit all its extra troops and as you stated they can't be extracted to below Tula in time for blizzrad. There by making surviving the blizzard for infantry much much easyer.

1941 is realy about gaining space for blizzard and building morale. SHC only hope of stopping a good 1942 GHC summer is for a good blizzard.

If Leningrad is taken it releases fins and GHC forses are shifted south. If not SHC has the majority of extra forses and best units in north where it is easy to defend as GHC.

If Leningrad is not taken it makes for interesting issue come 42 summer, but forses are in a much smaller area of operations making pocketing SHC units easyer and quicker then if front is long.

There is a point when dummping extra units into Leningrad for SHC becomes a loser in long run.

Thats what game is about now, long run not like the old days of 95% of games ending in early 42 one way or other.

Summer is over and so far Moscow is good. I have kept loses below 3 million and amry should be at around 5 million for blizzard. I have 3 armys of cav and mech in reserve that are at 50+ morale. Plus some strong forses are arriving so I have 4 or 5 to throw into blizzard offensive.

North:

Not happy with the early lose of Leningrad, but after playing MT I dont think it can be held. I found the weakeness and strength of right hook vs MT and found there is no way it can be held( My chances of taking in MT game is low because of my weak spot in that strategy,but I have changed 1 thing so it can't be held in coming games as GHC.)

But in this game I should have held it longer and in future games will change things up some.

I have a few weak spots I can exploit during blizzard. My blizzard exp is zero so should be interesting.

Very happy went as I expected. The German wave went north and south of my Reserver army postions as in most games. Just dig in early and you should be able to hold it even with the early lose of Leningrad.

Moscow is dug in very deep with more infantry being sent to area to north of Moscow. I expect GHC to push for a turn or two then pull back in front of Moscow. There are alrdy strong Cav and mech units in area so blizzard offensive forses are rdy to go first turn.

I did a little better then expected down here, but nothing that will add up to anything special.

SHC has 2 rested full Cav and Mech armys down here with more units on way. This area I will try and pockeet as many GHC units as possible if GHC stands and fights.

I beleive GHC will make a push for Rostov and AGB. Other then that It looks like hes digging in for December.

Over attacks are nothing to write home about to Stalin. It’s a mess of colors at the front, but effective enough heheh. Figuring it out on the fly.

I could be doing much better, but its my first blizzard. I see about a dozen things I can do next time around to improve on what I am doing, what a newbie I am heheh.

Anyways in the North I have pushed through the lvl 2 fort line and have 1 unit in big trouble and several more that could be next turn. If GHC doen't back it in and run like hell This could get messy really fast.

Status: offline 		West of Moscow 5 divisions are in deep **** already, I just figured out I have a Shock Army heheh. I put a good leader in charge and a bunch of 50 morale cav/mech and a few large infantry. Lets see what that does next turn.
