Nothing to report.
SS Plunger shells the sinks the xAKL Hitora Maru off the coast of Kobe. No ASW attack.
What I believed to be an enemy TF of PT's spotted at Busuanga turned out to be a number of transports escorted by a lone PG. The CL Jintsu and four DD's were dispatched and the AAR follows:

The xAP President Madision escaped...for now.
In an effort to destroy the American B-17's at Cagayan a night time bombardment is ordered. Unfortunately, the undamaged B-17's appear to have been redeployed. The base was hit hard and resulted in 4 MP, 10 AB, 4 ABS, 27 Runway, 8 Port and 1 Port Fuel hits including 6593 Fires. A further 17 non-combat squads and 9 AFV's were destroyed.

So ends 1941. Japanese forces are moving on all fronts and have suffered negligible losses to date. Allied forces seem reluctant to engage within range of LBA, so I'm advancing quickly now. I admit I've faced little to no opposition yet, but Singapore, Palembang and Java will be another matter. Eight enemy units now located at Palembang will mean a hard fight and risk trashing the industry upon capture.
I'll next post screenshots showing the situation of the major theatres as of Jan. 1/42 and go over the scorecard for the month.
