This is only an alternative art mod for leader Pictures. It adds about 100 new leader picture which are not in original game.

I reuploaded the mod because it is quite circuitous this mod via E-Mail for every single member.

First you need capable file archiver which meets all the ZIP File Format Specification. If you do not have such a archiver you may can use 7-Zip http://www.7-zip.org/ .7-Zip is free software using the GNU LGPL license.

There are two Versions of the Mod. The only difference is only the Design of the pictures. Version one is with sepia effect and the other version are simply black and white pictures.


Update 16.5.2013:

1.) Added new Pictures for the axis minor countries.
2.) Redone the first part (Soviet leaders part_a) of the soviet Pictures (all art reworked, some new better pictures and new ones). 136 pictures!

Part_b and Part_c will be done mybe next month! Than the soviet set will be complete again.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

1.) Backup your original art files which you can find:
\Matrix Games\Gary Grigsby's War in the East\Dat\Art\photo
Select all .bmp files in that folder. create a .zip archive. Rename the archive art_backup.zip
2.) Extract the files from the air_sepia_vx.y or air_bw_v.xy to your \Matrix Games\Gary Grigsby's War in the East\Dat\Art\photo folder and overwrite all files.
3.) Done!

This is a smal problem:

Short explanation:

The two leaders are:

634 Spirea, Ioan
635 Șteflea, Ilie




When you look closly you will see that picture 634 is from the orignal game (stock version) and I did picture 635. It shows the same person. So one picure is wrong.

Wikipedia and some other sources says, this person is Șteflea, Ilie. So the picture 634 from the orignal game seems to be wrong (I think it is simply a typo).

Sadly I did not have a picture for the leader 634. So if you copy the mod in your folders of WitE the old picture from the original game will not be replaced by a right one (because I do not have a right one).

Sadly I can give only some not very pleasing soulution:

1.) Delete manually picture 634
2.) I coul add a blank pitcure 634 for the mod to overrite the wrong one (I am not sure if this is a good solution, I think your valuation would be helpful)
3.) Let it this way.


Your suggestion would be helpful. It would be great if you have a from Spirea, Ioan.
