Ground movements east of Cox Bazar (Burma - see SITMAP below)

Current op:
TORA SAKUSEN-2: capture of Djambi oilfield: 18th Division is advancing to the north towards Djambi IOT hinder 12-15 enemy units to link up with the two enemy divisions at Djambi. The river was crossed successfully - an attack will be made in 24H against a brigade-sized enemy formation. Air support will be provided.

15th ARMY Operation I: Conquest of Central Burma. Next target is Swebo and final target is Lashio.

INMON SAKUSEN (16th ARMY operation I): All TFs are underway and are 6 hexes SW of Chittagong. See OPLAN and SITMAP below. Combined Fleet has decided to make a risky landing directly at Chittagong in 24H as air recce reports very few enemy units near the port.

8 Apr 1942 - current SITMAP regarding INMON SAKUSEN

16th ARMY will:

1) Land at Chittagong directly IOT save time and trap significant forces south of Chittagong.
2) Advance with two armoured divisions as soon as possibly towards paratroopers and Ledo.
3) Capture Ledo.

Finally, mopping up operations will commence south of the line Chittagong - Ledo.

SOUTHERN ARMY (Burma-Java-Ambon)

Enemy sitrep:
Enemy is withdrawing from northern Burma (Myitkvina) and eastern India (Imphal-Ledo) to the west!
120+ Hurricanes (I, IIa/b) from Calcutta sweep Chittagong. Enemy losses are 15+, own losses (Ki-43-Ic Oscar) are about 20 (only two pilots KIA).

Current op:
TORA SAKUSEN-2: capture of Djambi oilfield: 18th Division is advancing to the northeast towards Djambi IOT hinder 12-15 enemy units to link up with the two enemy divisions at Djambi. ETA is 3 days.

15th ARMY Operation I: Conquest of Central Burma. Next target is Swebo and final target is Lashio.

INMON SAKUSEN (16th ARMY operation I): two additional divisions (9th and 19th), four tank regiments, three AAA regiments and the 3rd Air Division HQ disembarked successfully at Chittagong. The entire 16th Army will be fully operational in 24H. 16th Army will advance as quickly as possible to the northeast IOT cut of retreating enemy units and destroy the Burma Corps.
Fighting continues at Comilla with 1st Raiding Regiment against 1st Bengal base force/24th Indian Gun Regiment.
Dacca airfield (abandoned) was captured by a detachment from 2nd Raiding Regiment.

Enemy sitrep:
ALERT: massive air offensive directed against Chittagong/Dacca. Dacca airfield (not in use) is hit and out of action. 75+ Hurricanes (IIa/b) from Calcutta sweep Chittagong. 27 B-17E attack Chittagong airfield - one is shot down by AAA. Total aircaft losses are 21 - 21 (own losses include 3-4 op losses during later transfer movements).
Many submarines are heading to area SW Chittagong (close to KB1).

INMON SAKUSEN (16th ARMY operation I): 16th Army is fully operational and is advancing towards Comilla, ETA of leading tank division is 24H. 3rd Air Division and 21st Air Flotilla are moving forward fighter reinforcements. 5th Air Division will support 3rd Air Division with CAP/LR CAP over Chittagong.

Combined Fleet has determined that there is active coastal artillery at Diamond harbour. However, the investigating DD was hardly hit at all and managed to reach the vicinity of Calcutta before turning back. Three CAs will bombard Calcutta airfield, and one CA (Suiraisentai) will bombard Diamond harbour (and its airfield), in 24H.

Enemy sitrep:
ALERT: enemy air offensive directed against Chittagong is defeated - see detailed separate SITREP below.

ALERT: enemy air sweep 65+ Hurricanes (IIb) directed against Chittagong. Enemy air losses is about 10, own air losses is about 20 (air units will rotate during next 24H).

ALERT2:Enemy armour counter-attack force (254th Armoured Brigade and 150th RAC Regiment) is one hex SW Tezpur. An indian division with support units might have arrived at Tezpur.
Naval battle continues south of Ceylon
Increase of enemy air strenght at Port Blair (the airfield was bombarded during the night: at least one B-26 bomber destroyed).

Current op:
Combined Fleet has reported the following from the ongoing naval battle SE Ceylon: The severly damaged CL Kitakami was hit a a submarine torpedo and sank. CV Junyo was also hit by one submarine torpedo and damaged. Enemy DDs tried unsucessfully to intercept during the night. During the day, KB1 sank 2-3 british DDs and damaged 2 more.

Current op:
INMON SAKUSEN (16th ARMY operation I): 16th Army continues the advance to the east/northeast - most tk regiment will arrive in the hills one hex SW Tezpur in 24H. 16th Army will (in 4-8 days) with three divisions (38th, 9th and 19th Divisions) attack either that hex, or Silchar.

The following divisions has recieved warning orders from SOUTHERN ARMY COMMAND to support INMON SAKUSEN:

Can you share some economic status?  Aircraft production plans?   R&D plans?  Very interested in this as it is a PDU OFF game ... rare.
