Can anyone tell me if purchasing a game on Slitherine's website or here at Matrix makes any difference for helping matrix? To my knowledge the two companies fully merged and maintain two different brands but operate as one but I just want to make sure I'm not hurting Matrix if I buy from Slitherine. It's not a huge deal but if I am going to be buying the same game for the same price I'd rather it support Matrix if possible.

I can tell you that my last purchase here at matrix using paypal said the payment went to slitherene on the receipt. So not sure it matters.

It seems like I purchased a Slitherine game and my bank charged me a small foreign transaction fee. I am in USA

Currently Matrix games get registered in the Matrix members area and Slitherine does not. That is supposed to change someday.

Hi Flanyboy,

Purchasing in either store is fine. Both stores are setup using the same Plimus back-end. The main advantage to purchasing here is that your purchase is then automatically integrated into the Members Club where your other purchases may be. Because of Plimus' past issues with PayPal, we came up with a new solution that required our own PayPal account which is registered to Slitherine.

There should not be any foreign transaction fee for purchasing from either store from the US as both Plimus and we have physical offices in the US and we use a US payment processor for US orders.

Thanks I was always wondering that as well.

I have games registered on the Slitherine site plus some registered here, the last time was because they would not allow my Amex card to purchase in Canadian Dollars (already posted that problem elsewhere on this site)here but was accepted on the Slitherine Site for some reason plus the Slitherine site was like $0.02 cents cheaper (go figure).

But Slitherine purchases also get auto registered once you launch the game and hit register, and I also have one game that is registered on both site even though it was only 1 purchase. Hoping that one day all our purchases can be combined for easier and less confusing access?

It is much harder to think about doing something than actually doing it!
