I just researched a little in the book using Google. From my understanding, did Churchill want to regain his lost territories before aiding the U.S. while his high ranking officers wanted to stay with the U.S. all the way to the invasion of Japan to cement a post war alliance with the United States? Or did I get that all wrong?
