So, I don't know how many folks delve into the "Details" button of the combat results, but I do so now and again, especially when I an important unit gets killed (tank or plane, e.g.). I'm finding the loss to "Accident" has a pretty substantial role. Maybe too substantial, I'm wondering. In theory, I like this a lot. There should indeed be losses to mistakes or bad luck (friendly fire, mishandled munitions, etc.). However, I like it less well when it doesn't just affect 1 or 2 units but, because of the "Ratio" system DC's combat employs, whole 'blocks' of units at a time. I can understand losing a few tanks to accidents in a given engagement. But losing 10 to 15 is another matter (3 tank kills due to "Accidents" = 15 lost tanks. This sort of thing is not unusual). In a recent battle, I lost 5 PzIIIJ's who had an "Accident" engaging enemy Trucks. This made me unhappy. Anyway... what do people think? Am I just overreacting (certainly possible) -- ?
