That was me. Problem is; even though I have RGB values for OCS, entering those does not give a direct translation to DC colors, there is some tinting built in that appears to be beyond modification. So I have to experiment and tweak to get the colors I want. Then calculate the needed changes in RGB values for the Historical units (or the MODEL). If designing from scratch. Nonetheless, I'll see what I can do.

Status: offline 		I really miss playing OCS games. Damn fine system. I hope you are successful with the colour changes and that you post it as a mod. I would love to play with those colours again and DC seems to come closest to OCS for me.

Status: offline 		Ok I found the root of the counter color problem. In the graphic\systemgraphics folder are three files; defaultcounterbig, default counter, and defaultcountersmall (all .png) I went in and modified each file by increasing the brightness to 100%. Then went back in and used the OCS color values I have. Here it is...not sure I like it with white text...I'm going to turn it all black and see what that looks like...comments are welcome

Status: offline 		Changing text color is beyond my current reach...changing counter symbols to black would be easy enough.

Decided to just work with what we have...here is a second stab...darkening both German and Soviet base colors and going with Red for Guards

Very nice! I like the flag mod too.

Are you OK to send me the files, when you are done, so I can add them to the PanzerKrieg mod pack?

Status: offline 		High K, the first screenshot the colours are indeed too pale. Especially compared to your avatar! The second screenshot is too dark but preferable. The red for the guards seems a little too red maybe?

Status: offline 		@templer. I just went in and changed the color on the png file,in \natocounters. I also turned the "PZ". yellow, but it doesn't show so well on the brown counters.
@ritterkrieg. Read through this whole topic, the info is there, but you've got to wade through a few posts.
@redmarkus. The flag mod is the one posted under mods in DC:WtP. I'll gladly make the files from my work available, but you'll recall that color has to be modded on a scenario by scenario basis, so it may not save you much work.
@gfelz. Agreed on the red. I'm gonna pm Vic and see if he can shed some light on changing text color. If white is the only option the darker counter color is the way to go.

Cool! Since you sent me the OCs link (I don't own any of their games - yet) I have become convinced that they have one of the best approaches to map and unit colors. So, as you will see, my map mod is going strongly in the OCS direction, so your unit mod should look really great on top of it.

If you start by just modding the vanilla Case Blue scenario, it can be easily added by everyone as a JSGME file, and I can include it in my map mod as well.
