Air Attack in bad weather

The development team behind the award-winning games Decisive Campaigns: From Warsaw To Paris and Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive year and theater of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue simulates the German drive to Stalingrad and into the Caucasus of the summer of 1942, as well as its May preludes (2nd Kharkov offensive, Operation Trappenjagd) and also the Soviet winter counter-offensive (Operation Uranus) that ended with the encirclement of 6th Army in Stalingrad and the destruction of the axis minor armies. With many improvements including the PBEM++ system, this is a release to watch for wargamers!

Air Attack in bad weather

Post by balto »

Manual section 17 says Air NEVER suffers from weather or seasonal state.

Manual section 17.3 says Rain causes Air to suffer AP and Combat Efficiency.

Is section 17 incorrect in that Air is affected by Rain?

Are there any other weather conditions that affect Air (Mud, Snow, etc.,)?

Section 17 - "Rain, snow and mud influence your movement speeds, combat capabilities and
logistical network. Aircraft never suffer penalties from any weather or seasonal state
because the 2-day turns allow enough space to find clear periods to perform combat
missions."

It actually refers to plaines not being able to fly - they will always have a chance in a 2 day period is what it is saying.

17.3 then refers to the disadvantages of flying in rain.
