Status: offline 		You complain game is biased against German, worse for german if weather is random, say you have a good opponent and still look like beating the cr#p out of him. Michael T looks like he's the only current opponent who is winning.

Game doesn't look that easy to be Russian if you ask me. The test of balance is not about Germans winning 50% of games by end of '42 but holding Berlin in May '45 50% of the time and that's not happening. That may partly be to fact that a lot of German players seem give up when they don't look like winning outright, but we are much closer to seeing a majority of good german players winning in 1st 12 months.

As Russian in about 12 GCs I have never played beyond Sept '42 and that was the only time Germans have not surrendered before end of blizzard (apart from Michael T where the surrender was mine). Even when I tried a '42 GC my opponent gave up after about 5 turns. I'm sure most of those game would have gone the distance or thereabouts had they been continued. Some just had very poor/inexperienced german players.

I have played german until Oct '43 but opponent had to stop due to RL issues but that was the only game ever in which I've seen a mech corps.

The boasting of a win/lost record in his sig shows the exact opposite. (Not pro Soviet.) I would say that, instead of playing in the same old style, that every one by now knows, it's time for a change.

I can only hope to be 1/2 as good a SHC player as you sillyflower. I have heard you only lost to MT and that was before .13. I am guessing hes not giving you a rematch, as hes is only playing SHC now.

Status: offline 		I played Michael T under original HQBU rules whichever patch that was. The 20 MP rule came in too late to save me -though I can't say I would have any hope of stopping him even under current version.

Your results under current version are pretty consistent. Perhaps we should play one day after they bring in some more changes to nerf the Jerries. I'm still learning how to play Russians against good opponents.

Nothing specail, but an average start to spring.

SHC has a large army which is going to take a long time to cut down to size. Random weather plays a huge factor a differance of about a million men. I say Bobo and Hugh are at about same skill level and diferance is 1 million men.

Fighting forward will cost SHC another million.

So far springs been great, but weather is slowing me down, next turn I can really get to work. SHC has way to many strong units north of Tula making my job of cutting up SHC easy. So far GHC OOB is up 40,000 and SHC OOB is down 20,000 with more in the bag to finish off. Things so far are going as planned based on other games I have been in come 42+

AGN: SHC mounts a bunch of attacks close to 20, which is great. Easy terrain to defend. I think SHC is freaking out about how close I am to Moscow heheh. Cool beans because by the time I am done in the south it will not matter.

Status: offline 		AGC: starts mopping up and getting ready to bleed the giant to death. RR units move in to convert rail lines ect.

From what I am seeing in center ans south GHC should be able to completely wipe out 500+ AP withen a few turns and the AP crunch will be under way by turn 56-58. Then its just a matter of hammering away until mid 43.

AGN: SHC break through with a single tank Corps 2 turns ago. The following turn was mud, it was cut off and smoked this turn. Lines are solid up here I will go over to static soon and also try pushing the blob back to sure up lines. This area will only go over to offensive if operations in south keep bagging 10+ units a turn for 6-8 weeks.

Status: offline 		AGC: 10 rifle divisions and 3 brigades surrendered this turn and another 11 units were pocketed. 18th army has set the table for next turns pocket. Hugh has been very aggressive the last few turns which has made making pockets a cake walk. Right now there is a huge 110 mile gap between his armys with a few scattered tank or rifle units. I can bag units to south or north every turn. Most of the major manpower center are to the north so I will probably just keep biting off a little to the north west every turn until things thin out to try for some larger pockets.

It is the same with Pelton, he does same stuff and everyone knows it, yet it works.

Not always. Basic Russian 42 defence is hold Moscow - north first. Most Russians then hold Stalino area next. So center is the area where you start to weaken the giant.

Once you get the first pocket then you can hit SHC to north/east/south ( near first pocket) . SHC just doesn't have the troops to defend it all at that point.

Then SHC has to shift troops to cover then holes and thinning lines. This opens up the Moscow area and Rostov area.

Sometimes SHC doesn't put enough in front of Moscow and I just take that first(3 times). Moscow can fall to a frontal assault if not heavey defended.

But your point is right as my games vs Bobo6.5/Hugh 7.3/Brian 6 million men area all basicly going same way.

Each is a little different game as each player has a different skill set.

Brian is very agressive
Bobo counter attacks/very good blizzard O
Hugh has been generally sitting back taking a beating.

Brians given up the least land, but troop numbers are low.
Bobo is using reserve mode and rivers very good player. I have an AP crunch going and his lines are strong, but thin. Best Player of 3 so far.
Hugh I gained allot of ground other then near Moscow, but just got a breakthrough to east.

All 3 games are in late July all going at about same rate with a little twist to each.

There is basicly a 200 mile wide gap in SHC lines with nothing but junk. I have started picking off units on both sides of the “gap”. Enemy CV’s are dropping quickly now and lines have thinned out allot. The only strong units are east of Moscow and down near Rostov. Really right where I want them for now.

AGC: another nice pocket of 10 units formed and sealed off and the table is set for next turn. Infantry will be fully back on line next turn so hopefully they can start driving holes for the tanks soon. 17th Army is almost back in line. 18th will start pushing for Moscow soon.

Status: offline 		AGS: GHC moved 2 Panzer Corp to roll up the southern flank. Not much down here for enemy forces so should be and easy job of rolling up lines north to south.

Also Kamil if you follow all the post .11 games they all follow 2 paths.

1. 50% of games SHC holds Moscow/Leningrad less then 3 million dead, 5 million men by Dec and little if any GHC O in 42 summer.

2. The GHC that do make it to 42 can't possibly assault Oka north as most games are 260 VP and losing Moscow is game set match, as its still fairly easy to roam in the south. SHC walls of Oka north with 3 rows deep of 30-50 cv.
The only offensives happen from Tula south. not just me its basicly the only option as as GHC you can only take what your given.

So yes everyone knows whats coming in 42 and so what? Its the only option.

Then basicly GHC holds fast from Tula north and slowly gives ground in south stopping at rivers during summer.

ALL the games are more then predictable now as there is simply one mind set.

SHC holds Moscow
GHC pockets whatever it can then holds on for 150 turns.

GHC has been able to form larger and larger pockets with each passing turn as over all SHC starts to drop. Peak SHC OOB was 7,306,000 and in 4 turns GHC has destroyed 508 AP worth of units with another 216 in pockets waiting to get wiped. So even if SHC had 500 saved up, its been wiped out and the crunch has begun.

43/44 defensive lines are under construction.

AGC: Forms a small pocket (18 units).

I am at 228 VP’s I only need Moscow 16 VP’s, Tula/Rostov/Stalingrad= 10 and 6 cities which are within 5 miles of the front for a auto win.

AGC: GHC commits XXXVIII and LVII Corp and they punch a small break through east of Moscow past the fort belt. More units will be rushed to this area and try and get a good push going.

The main drive pulled back lines and is resting for a turn or 2.

Status: offline 		AGS: gets a small bridgehead south of Don river. This is huge if I can hold it, because I can threaten the hole area. Which means I can start preparing a defense for the 42/43 winter and move allot of reserves north. I would like to withdraw the 8 panzer divisions from this area and commit them in the Moscow area asap.
