AGN: Over the Pskov river. Very little resistance in north. Based on recon there appears to be very little between Pskov and Leningrad. Its appears Brian has not sent any reinforcements to this area. Unless he rails in allot of units Leningrad could fall very early.

Status: offline 		AGC: I reclose the pocket and bag another 5 to 7 units. Again based on recon there is nothing on the land bridge or on the river line.

Status: offline 		AGS: It appears Brian is all in. He broke open the Lvov pocket which I believe this is the 5th time I have seen this done. The down side is for Russian that means their all in and I manage to pocket another 17+ units of which many are the best Russian tank formations.
This forward defense will probably cost me a hex or two in rail conversion, not sure its worth the cost of so many units that should have been railed to north and center. If he doesn’t run this turn I should be able to have a massive pocket next turn, which will probably be game set match on turn 3.

Status: offline 		One issue that few have discussed in regards to the first move is the importance of not routing Sovie units outside of pockets of isolation. Michael T has set the standard (yes, again) of limiting routed units to 10 or so. I've seen many top-notched German players rout 25 ++ units (particularly in AGC, south) and cringe when pundits comment on how great the first move was. The art of planning pockets and Pz moves on the first turn to "guide" routs/retreats is not discussed. Kenza's "Axis War Diary-1" is one of the few posts that has even begun to address his.

You have a link, I have yet to get into the finer pts of the game still.

Helio's idea of tracking SHC troops is really amazing. It would take time, but what I need to start doing. A way to get around the FoW for most of the 42 summer.

I see no one pulling back troops to refit, if you refit for a week or two did the morale go up?

Its really more about tracking morale. TOE is only 1/3 of the issue.

I think for the first summer it could be huge. Sure some might get refitted resetted ect, but it could help out say 33%? that means your attacking the right spot more offten and will add up over time.

Something I am sure to do to offset the next patch. Every little thing adds up to something big in the end.

Status: offline 		I'd consider breaking the Lvov pocket now that you can't do the prompt AP/truck harvest from disbanding Mech/Mot Divs but need to send them to dig until they disband. You never know, maybe your Cav will break the 'second' pocket :)

GHC net OOB change: +10,000

Russians are fighting forward and I am keeping the Russian OOB below 3.8 million so far.

AGN: Pskov is cleared. I have out run supplies so I don't expect and thing major until turn 5. I will keep pushing a little each turn until infantry and rail heads get close. Rail heads are 1 hexes behind normal.

Status: offline 		AGS: The both Lvov pockets is still being slowly closed. The turn 2 pocket was wiped out and another pocket formed this turnoff about 25 units. Brian is fighting forward which is slowing my advance for now, but I am bagging allot of units . Another turn or 2 of this and the south will be completely wiped out. Rail heads are 2 hexes behind normal.

Massive losses so far for the Russian army. This is much better then I normally do as far as pocketed units. The north and center defenses seem weak so far. I really have the Reds of balance now. SHC will get 3 good turns of new units then 3 weak turns. If I can keep him of balance over the next 3 turns, I should be able to make some huge gains from turns 7 to 10 and set the table for rest of summer and game hopefully.

Status: offline 		AGS: Turns three pocket finished of and panzers drive east, supplies dropped and one HQB done. Going to starting a 3 turn chain. SHC is spent in south, Leningrad is in trouble and will need allot of help to get to turn 10. If I can brake resistance in the south I move 6 panzer units to center by turn 10.

AGS: Push across river easly. 2nd leg of chain HQBed 8 divisions and the two from last turn have over 400 fuel left in HQ before logistics turn. So I should have 10 divisions with high Mp’s. I also have a HQ set-up for next turn. Looking for big things here.
