I am getting back in to ATG to prepare myself for the Case Blue release. As we all know, there will be a boatload of new units unique to each side so I think I will have to get 'under the hood' at the unit statistics to prepare for what appears to be drastic unit changes.

With that said, on the ATG site ( is that GREAT Excel file that has all of the Unit Statistics.

I never really payed close attention to this file because by the time I discovered it, I had been playing ATG for so long and I relied on the unit descriptions. Now that I am preparing for Case Blue, I have for the first time examined the Excel file in detail.

My question is that on the 'Attack Values' tab columns X through AN match the Attack and Defend values that we see in the game under Combat Statistics. So this is good. But for the first time, I am looking columns X through AN. These calculations divide the total Attack and Defend values and divide them by the Number of Attacks a unit are able to do. So for example, ATG screens have the Heavy Tank attacking Rifle at 850/420. Considering that Rifle has hitpoints of 100, it highly possible that every one of the 10 attacks of the Heavy Tank (850) will be a hit, which makes sense.

But if this Excel file is correct, the Heavy Tank still attacks Rifle the 10 times, but each attack is on (85). With the rifle having hitpoints of 100, the infantry could come away unscathed from all 10 hits.

My question is do the 850/420 Heavy Tank (or any unit) against Rifle mean 10 attacks of 850 or 10 attacks of 85?

Thank you.

PS - Was this Excel made manually by looking at all the screens and manually keying-in the information, or can this information be quickly downloaded from some ATG file that contains all these statistics?

I'm sure it is 10 attacks of 85.
850 (10x85) is just for easier comparing units, it is info for player, not for game.
