I agree that the spamming is very annoying. But to force a person to wait till he can post a new thread is also not quite right.
If I remember correctly one my first posts was a new thread in the UV forum. I had a question that I felt was important to join the forum and pose the question by starting a new thread.
Had I been forced to wait till I had a certain amount of posts to start a new thread, I'm not quite I would have joined the forum.
UV being the first game I bought after years of not playing and the fact that UV was not bought via Matrix. I more or less stumbeled over Matrix Games. After my questions were asked in kind and friendly manner, I was glad that I was able to post threads.
I felt like the new kid on the block, wondering if the other kids would let me play with them and join their gang.
I know the spammers do not have these feelings, but there are gamers out there, who will stumble into the world of matrix, should we make it easy for them to play with us and join our gang? Letting them enjoy the games we enjoy? Or should we restrict them and force them to meet certain requirements, maybe chasing them away and not letting them get into the games we enjoy?
Think back to your first posts? Some of us may have difficulties remebering so far back. But I'm sure a new thread was started asking questions about certain aspects to a game or problem.
I am in favour of solving this spamming problem that we have in the forums as it does derive a certain amount of fun.
It did not pose problems in the past, why now? Why the increase?
This is not meant as an attack, I am not pointing my finger at anyone, but might it be someone from another site who just wants to cause problems?
