after all these years, heres about the only improvement to this game I would like to see. The disengagement. You have a division in a hex, say Akyab , and the enemy enter. OK, you decide to fight. But soon, you realise, this aint going to hold....... But you cannot retreat, because you are so slow. Bang!, suddenly, a wrecked divisionis thrown out of the hex you could not march out of. My proposal You hit a new button, DISENGAGE 25% of the divisions/unist involved in that hex are immediately destroyed,(the rear guard left to fight on) but the rest, undamaged, moves out of the hex. A controlled retreat, that costs, but gives hope of fighting on. The attacker sees a new combat animation, REARGUARD action, and then in following turns, can pursue. Thoughts?
