after all these years, heres about the only improvement to this game I would like to see.
You have a division in a hex, say Akyab, and the enemy enter.
OK, you decide to fight.
But soon, you realise, this aint going to hold.......
But you cannot retreat, because you are so slow.
Bang!, suddenly, a wrecked divisionis thrown out of the hex you could not march out of.
You hit a new button, DISENGAGE
25% of the divisions/unist involved in that hex are immediately destroyed,(the rear guard left to fight on) but the rest, undamaged, moves out of the hex.
A controlled retreat, that costs, but gives hope of fighting on.
The attacker sees a new combat animation, REARGUARD action, and then in following turns, can pursue.
