Some quick questions on how to make an air unit carrier trained - do you simply have to have it on some kind of CV unit for x length of time or does it actually have to fly to become experienced? I know it uses up more a/c capacity until it is CV trained. In that case, would an air unit not fly if it maxes out the CV capacity (ie over the 110% rule)

I had a unit on a CVE just on training disbanded at port. It became carrier trained after around 3 months or so. Was mentioned in the reports.

This using more space on the carrier thingie has to do with being carrier capable not trained afaik. Or in short its about the planes not the pilots.

In port, disbanded? I keep on running my CVEs in the Inland Sea for training, I read somewhere that CVs at base or docked operate only at 50% training flights/CAPs, etc..
So that means I just land the planes, dock em CVEs, and I can forget about them for a while. Nice....
