hi people,

thinking about buying a nerw notebook i tried to make a good choice by reading several test pages.

the main focus was to find a "notebook for gamers" to be able to play strategy games on the way.

now most of the tests are about ego shooters which have a different requirements but i think more about games like war in the east and war in the east which is stimm in development.

now i would like to ask you and maybe the folks who play WITE on notebook:

what are the most important components and what performance should my CPU, RAM, graphic card....fulfill to play WITE and hopefully in this life:) WITW smooth?

I'd set priorities in such order:
CPU
RAM
Screen Resolution
Video Card

what do you say to this baby when it comes to playing games like WITE/WITW?

would be nice if a developer of WITW could step in and throw a comment.:)

Looks powerful enough.

I'm doing all development on my 4yo PC. After some optimizations WITW alpha code runs very smooth on it.

WITE works fine on my small 11.6 in travel-notebook. I think it is 1.6Ghz CPU with 4 GB memory. It's just the smallish screen that can be annoying sometimes, but game performance is good, so IMHO WITE doesn't really require a serious gaming rig at all, it is possible to play well on machines with quite modest performance.

How does WITE run on a laptop with integrated graphics (not a dedicated video card)?

I have a Lenovo T410s with Intel Core i5 running at 2.4GHz with 3GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics running DirectX 10.1.

Any thoughts on whether this would be enough to run WITE properly?

I have an Acer Aspire 7741G, intel Core i3 2.53 ghz, AMD Radeon HD6550M, 4GB and 17.3" screen.
Games like WITE and WITP:AE runs very well.

I'm going to buy a smaller notebook soon for travel (with 11" or 13" screen), I am worried about WITW and WITE performances.
Tarhunnas which model is yours?

Bye.

WITE is 2D graphics, I think it would run smooth on your system

Bye

Wanted to let everyone know that I went ahead and purchased WITE today.

Have not done much beyond installing the latest update and running the first turn of the 1941-1945 campaign but so far the game runs just fine on my laptop.

FYI, I have a Lenovo T410s with Intel Core i5 running at 2.4GHz with 3GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics running DirectX 10.1 on a 14.1 inch screen.

Hope that helps other folks make their hardware decisions.

Your configuration is more than enough! [:)

BTW, when we ALPHA & BETA tested WitW I TEST run it on 5+ years old IBM ThinkPad with Intel integrated graphics card and it was working...
