Does it matter if a unit is on the front line is attacked/or attacks while in a refit status? Or do they have to be in a ready status for all thier defensive or offensive points to count?

does not matter. Please consider that refit does not work anymore when adjacent to enemy units (might be that static mode is an exception, can't remember)

Hi glvaca,
IIRC, refit does not make your units to recover morale if within 10 hexes from enemy units. Are there other penalities if you are adiacent to enemy units?

Thanks
Bye.

Hi Invernomuto,

Ur correct in that u need to be 10+ hexes to gain the refit moral bonus now.
It has been stated whether this is tied directly into refit or is a seperate penalty that units adjecent to enemy units will recieve much reduced replacements. My guess would be the latter, but its just a guess.

Kind regards,

Rasmus

I find that units recive replecements fairly fast on a railhead even less then 10 hexes away from enemy troop concentrations. And of course fortifications recieve replacements even though they are on the frontlines.

My origional question was does it make a difference if a unit attacks of defends in a refit status?

None whatsoever. The mode is just a way to manage replacement priority.

The only difference is that if attacked whilst on refit and forced to retreat then a defending unit may qualify for a refit during the next logistics phase if not adjacent to the enemy.
The whole refit thing needs looking at.I'd like to see units on the front line refit at about 50% of optimal, but with a combat penalty, maybe 20% or so.Possibly a movement penalty too.

Yes there are no difference less adjecent to the enemy, being within 10 or not as far as replacement it self goes. There how ever seperatly of that is a bonus for being on refit and 10+ hexes away from enemy in gaining moral faster.

Btw glcaca actually did answer ur original question in post 2

Kind regards,

Rasmus
