I'm going to the cinema tonight to see the Avengers.
I'm so excited!
I love superheroes stories.

(of course Poland is again two weeks after civilized world)

Doom I'm glad you liked it. I have always been a captain America fan. Iron man not so much.

This is the point where the dual personalities of parusski/ Steiner battle each other, and the following occurs-all because you guys talk about The Avengers:

Call me old fashioned but what exactly did you expect in a thread entitled "Re: Avengers"? Admittedly it could have been a thread about the TBF, but I would have thought a cursory glance at Doomtrader's initial post would have perhaps disuaded you from harbouring any such notion?

I have cooled down a little bit, so it's a time to score the movie.

My personal score for having fun when watching the movie: 10/10
Cool outfits and equipment seen in the movie: 10/10
Enemies design: 10/10
Explosions: 10/10

Yeah, call me a fanboy, but this is he best superhero movie so far, and I think that new Spider Man is in troubles.

Dunno about 10/10 in all those categories, but it was a very entertaining movie. I also saw it in 3-D too, which was pretty dern cool.

I liked The Avengers well enough that I'm going to watch it again (on Monday), which isn't something I can say for most films I've seen.

It was okay.
I think Dark Shadows will be better.

I'm going to go against the stream here, but is anyone else sick of superheroes?

That's cool if that's you're thing. Just saying.

Ahum well anyways...   @ Nate "I'm going to go against the stream here, but is anyone else sick of superheroes? "
Certainly not. Hey I grew up with them, Captain America, Doom and what have you. Thought they were cool when I was a kid, and whaddyaknow I *still* think they're cool.

There seem to have been too many superhero movies recently, certainly. Most of them awful, I think Thor was about the most boring 'action' movie I've ever seen. But then I actually liked Green Lantern (at least it was a pretty faithful adaptation) so I probably have no taste.

Haven't seen Avengers yet though - or Marvel Avengers Assemble as it has been hopelessly mis-titled in Blighty so us poor ignorant Brits don't get confused with the aforementioned '60s TV show - but probably won't bother. High hopes for The Dark Knight Rises.

How about they make a WW2 flick with Nick Fury and the Howling Commandos?

Did not mind the movie but as usual with many movies these days The Avengers was too long.

Not usually a fan of superhero movies but the mother of my children claimed mother day privilege and may me go. I really, really enjoyed it. If you liked the first Iron Man you will love this. Great sense of humor, great special effects, not too serious and bloody entertaining. I love the scene where the Hulk reacts to Loki's God speech. Highly recommended

I'm sorry but I found this movie to be lacking across the board. Any further comments on my part dissecting this would be flaming others here and might be considered trolling. Yes, it is that BAD.
