I don't think the rules of 'how' to do things have changed... but how things 'work' under the hood, and some of the language describing 'optimal'/'good' methods might be less relevant, some 'rule changes' like halted units not 'rotating in place' but adjusting 'formation' so that formation front/rear have some meaning in the short-term fire-fight may not be explicitly stated (or necessarily exactly what is going on ~ its complicated ;)) The tutorial videos might be slightly less relevant, as they are watch & repeat. And it is confusing when the video does something different to the game, but this is not (IMO) so much a problem with the manual, as this is more a description of the GUI and the options available. So 100% valid. Almost certainly not ~ but it may never have been... 95-99% probably, and the minor differences shouldn't make huge differences. Do shout out if you spot anything heinous and it will get looked at. In fact the (rather smaller) manual for AA:RDOA is still (mostly) valid for BfTB, the improvements have mostly come in 'polish' and in the underlying AI/Movement/Combat/Supply engines. (Which is what is important-est most of the time).
