This has got to be the most infuriating game i have ever played. I hit tankers, carriers even destroyers with 5 + 1000 lb bombs and they just sail away, my ships get hit by a single 250 kg bomb and they are sunk. An enemy carrier group sails past 10 airbases by java and sumatra, my search planes see them all the way but not one attack by over 100 bombers even develops in clear or cloudy weather. Enemy task forces magically pop up right next to my bases, blow away all my ships and disappear just as magically with no response from my bases even though they are in the same hex on clear days. I have had subs fire their entire torpedo inventory and not one has exploded. Enemy subs camp out by my major bases, I can't shoot down their float planes and no matter how many ships I send to attack them I rarely ever get a hit with a depth charge, but their depth charge attacks rarely fail to have 3 to 5 to 15 hits on my subs. I an not a violent person by nature by I've almost thrown my mouse through the computer screen several times at the injustice of it all. IN SHORT, THIS GAME SUCKS and is a waste of $90 and my time

You must be speaking of War in the Pacific AE.....I can understand your frustration.  The game over all is historical but there is parts that are ahistorical....Such as torpedos blowing after a hit but the odds are they won't if your allied player.  I myself still think the setting are incorrect for the standard game(I can read history too).  Most of the time US Navy will fire dud torpedos-if you can get your subs to fire.  There is alot that is ahistorical with the game but there is alot that is historical.  So I don't know what too tell you but the game is Not for everyone....I have a love- hate relationship with it.  But it is with out doubt the best Pacific theater game out there(computer wise).  Good luck. Even though Ive played witp since release, I normally don't recommend it to anyone for the very problems your having.  Some times its the player not knowing the system....and sometimes its the system.

Note: If your looking for a balance game, this isn't it!

Well, if he posts more talking about it, it will dispel my wondering if it's another spambot copying a post. If it is an actual player, my apologies.

Laughing.....hard.....cannot.......breathe......stomach......hurts...

Does that sound familiar to you? Well it is now infectious.

Still think it, I mean he, is copying, I meant speaking about Mario Kart 23.

Terminus its a bot - I'm sure I recognise that statement from someone in the WITPAE forum. It seems to be a recent trend for bots here to take peoples sentences and use them - this one is just a whole lot longer....

Yep. Seen the copy/past ploy on another forum. They are learning that sentence structure and correct grammar count, at least passable grammar.

No, just wait for it. It will offer that after it makes a few more copy/paste posts. Just wait.

Great response, I had to read it carefully to really appreciate it.

Those who don't think it sucks, won't think it sucks.

I have had this game for a long time and I did not notice it sucking.
I guess I like it then.
When I had Pacific War many yarens ago I sometimes thought it sucked.
It turned out I was doing things wrong which made it seem to suck.
So I was mistaken about the magnitude of its sucknessity
Eventually I found it didn't suck.
As far as losing the Real war went I guess the Japanese Original Cast were kind of infuriated but they lost so it ultimately did not matter.

I don't think(oxymoron) much thinking is required about the above statement.

You raise a very interesting point ils. You say straws suck - but do they? I mean, do they really? Surely it is we humans that suck - the straw is merely our instrument upon which we do our bidding? If humans are the suckers, then straws must, by definition, be the suckees. Alternatively of course, I may be talking sucking rubbish....
