Hi I am interested in taking the Japanese side for a long term PBEM game. I am a rookie in this game but not a rookie in PBEM. I have been in other games that have lasted 3+ years so I hope someone will be willing to take a chance on me as a reliable opponent.

However I expect this to be a slow paced game due to real life constraints on my schedule. I expect 3-4 turns per week. More on some weekends is possible but there is no way I can manage a turn per day. Just being clear on this so someone doesn’t end up being frustrated by the slow pace of play – I could, for example, be a 2nd game for someone who plays faster. Otherwise a slowpoke like me would be perfect.

I am also interested in writing a delayed AAR but only if the other player is going to do one as well. We would coordinate to keep the delay the same.

I’m pretty open to minimal or even no house rules however there should probably be some for at least turn 1.

I’m looking at stock scenario 1 since this is my first game but would be open to consider some modified version thereof. But…. I have already got about 30 hours in on my first turn which is stock, out of the box, scenario 1. Having to redo that would be a real morale buster and would realistically lead to a real time delay of a few weeks while I work up a new turn 1 on the modified scenario.

Otherwise we could start in a few days as I only need a few more hours on my current turn 1.

I am United States Central Time zone and would play evenings and weekends. For that reason someone of a different time zone might be a good idea though I will of course consider all challengers. I would like to arrange a phone or Skype call before we start just to say hi and coordinate the details.

PM or post here if you are interested. Thanks in advance for any consideration and Banzai!

I have started a game with oreskovich.

Just a word of encouragement for those who want to PBEM but don't have the time to hit the turn a day threshold - I was able to easily find an opponent who was interested in a slow paced game. Give it a shot!
