I have JTCS running in Linux by using ubuntu 12.04, PlayOnLinux and Wine 1.4

I did get some strangeness scrolling the screen and when you click a unit, etc, instead of the outline, you get a box of color. I'll keep working on it but I suppose that it is the 8 bit graphics.
Also the ctrl key did not work to switch from move to shoot but I could click the button on the UI. I have an option in ubuntu selected that lets me press the ctrl key to find the mouse pointer. That may be the cause of it.

Tried this again with the Korean War mod. Some of the units outlines show up as normal so they were probably new units added by Mike and saved as 24 bit.

When I tried to start the exe from the folder, I got a 486 error. I then tried EF and got the same. Starting from the Matrix game menu shortcut works fine for EF, WF and RS. Since Mike used a modified rising sun exe, I renamed the Rising Sun folder and then renamed the Korean War folder to Rising Sun. Then I can start the Korean War mod from the Rising Sun shortcut on the Matrix menu.

I wonder if someone could mod the game menu to add other exes like the Lapland mod and Korean War mod?

In the folder Autoplay is the autoplay.cdd that I suspect is the exe or maybe the file that controls the layout. In that folder is a folder Images that contains the gamemenu bmp. The autoplay exe is in the main folder.
