Didn't you know what the old Troll hunting book "En Slik Bjørn Dritt" says? On Page 369 it says:

Status: offline 		Sometimes publicity is needed to get public support for funding of projects. A pretty nifty sight and if I hadn't moved to Brazil I would've shot many pics from a window in my old home. Next trip back to the US, this summer?, I'll visit the Intrepid once more.

Gotta agree with you 100% there. That is a cool shot, and this is great country. Any country that has restaurants where the condiments are free, and where the toilet paper is nice and thick, is a great country.

Many people born here and have never been anywhere else can be really quite spoiled and have no idea just how well they have it, especially during rough periods.

Johnson Space Center a/k/a Mission Control was kind of important to the space program and stuff. Don't get me wrong, I love New York City, so this isn't a slam of Gotham. A cynic would analyze the politics of the states that got shuttles and the state that didn't and reach certain conclusions about the decision making process involved and the role of politics in said process.

Last June, while picking up a rafting trip at Hecla Junction - a major rafting put in and take out on the Arkansas River (which has very nice, clean restrooms maintained by the park service), a European rafting guest commented that the USA was the only country wealthy enough to build restrooms in the middle of nowhere. I am with you Sir...

Don´t get me wrong, it is a beautiful and memorable sight.

But actually I would have been far more impressed, had NASA been able to get a replacement vehicle ready and operational before flying circles over major cities
showing museum pieces.

As things are, it just makes me sad. Salute, Enterprise.
