Can anyone explain why, late in the war, German divisions are being filled with both normal rifle squads and rifle squad(-)? The rifle squad(-) looks to have less combat power (no LMGs). There are also motorized and panzer grenadier squad(-)s as well.

I'd kinda understand filling out with squads less capable if the pool of normal squads was exhausted - but there are over 10,000 normal squads in the pool.

Can you check the pages for each of those different squads and spot the difference?

That screenshot makes me sad ;(  an 84% TOE division in supply with good morale down to '1' CV.

German Rifle (-) squads are squads equipped entirely with the MP43/44 Sturmgewehr assault rifle in lieu of the normal mix of LMG, rifles, & SMGs. In close combat they actually have considerably more firepower than a conventional squad.

OK Jaw, thanks - didn't realize that. So basically its a wash...no difference and working as designed.

Pavel stumbled on a bug today that would explain why all your Panzer Divisions upgraded on one turn. That should have been a red flag as there's only supposed to be a 20% chance each turn that a unit that can upgrade will upgrade. By accident it was set to 100% (we think sometime in the past 3 months). We've fixed that and are testing a new exe now. There were a few other fixes that had already been made. We expect to release a public beta with this fix on Monday.
