Howdy! I have WITP-AE loaded onto one computer. I would like to copy it to another, but when I do that, the .exe gives an error message indicating a lack of PW data.

I would propertly install it on the new computer, but I purchased extended download through Digital River, and have no idea how to get back to that site (and not sure, but it may have expired anyway)

How can I copy from one computer to another?

Many thanks in advance!

Apologies if this is a bit wrong.

I think you also have to copy a file from your "All Programs" folder.

As well as the actual Matrix folder the download sets up a seperate folder which you need.

I use a portable hard drive with the game files but still need to download the folder into the C drive of the PC I am using.

If it works send a donation to ........................ .com.au

I´m pretty sure you need the installfiles. Just copying the files wouldn´t work since you need registry keys and whatnot.

Technically, you can neither "copy" nor "load" AE; it must be "installed". To "install" you must execute the installer file.

The installer file is what you originally got from matrix. In order to install on a computer you must use either the original load module received from Matrix or a "copy" of that file saved on optical disk, hard disk, backup hard disk, thumb drive or what-have-you.

That's what I thought. Unfortunately, I don't have that installer file (I lost the disk).

It looks like I will have to hear from Matrix, and throw myself on their mercy. I'd hate to have to pay again when I have a Registered Copy already, but we'll see

If you regestered the game and joined the members club all your regestered games are displayed and easily downloaded ..

That's a good suggestion on Members Club; Digital River, though, is not recognizing my Order #. I'll have to contact matrix Games support.

Thanks for replies, guys

Couldn´t someone just share the install files or send them to Q-ball? Since it requires the serial I can´t imagine there should be any legal issues?
