I've only bought three computer games in the past ten years. All three came from Matrix. They were: UV, WitP, and WitP:AE. It's not the monster aspect of the game that's the main draw (I don't like alot of the micromanagement, to be honest): it's the depth of strategic thinking permitted, the three-dimensinoal warfare (under sea, surface, air) and the instrinsic draw/drama of this theater.

An announcement of something along these lines would definately be of interest, especially if it was called WitP II. :)

+1000

I've only got the last two and have my other WW2 games just gathering dust.

All very interesting............some nice sounding stuff as well as fluff type games both on the list and throughout the thread.

But where is Combined Arms??

There hasn't even been a developer update in many, many months. How can it still be "coming soon"??

It would be nice to hear from you Erik.......

Rob.

You WitP folk are a passionate bunch :-)
Once the chit count gets too high my eyes glaze over and my IQ drops 50 points. I am envious of the players who have the concentration to play a game like that.

I want Conflict of Heroes to come out as that should be more my speed.

Additional titles that we might have missed announcing and talking about in the hustle and bustle (and the killing of the wifi at the hotel):

* Conflict of heroes release is imminent
* World in Flames conversion of board game coming soon
* Lock and Loaad Heroes of Stalingrad board game conversion coming Q3

A couple of other things coming we didn't have time to cover
* Frank Hunters new game Piercing Fortress Europa coming some time before end of Q3
* Complete Carriers at War coming 2012, date TBD

Here is a point of view for some of you guys out there.
Those of you who buy and play only one or two games and continuously
demand more of the same thing have given Matrix and company a couple
of dozen dollars or less and then demand they spend hundreds of thousands
of dollars to provide product for your niche within a niche hobby.
Patches and updates are usually free or at discount.....
These people have provided me with the best gaming experiences ever and
I have many games. I want them to live long and prosper by selling lots
of stuff whether I am interested in it or not. I do not really want them to
modify WitP to allow for a concentration of left handed aircraft mechanics
in Brisbane in the summer of 1942. If they do I hope it makes money.
I wish them success in all these new ventures even though I will not play them all.
Call me a Matrix FanBoy
Cheers

It is really a shame that the WitP crowd feels the need to flood this thread with sillyness while the rest of us are just looking for info.

Legends of War will be a turn-based tactical strategy game during WWII. It will be across multiple consoles.

Hi Scott, Erik or anyone else in the know. At this stage are you able to release any info regarding the plans for CCAW.

Are any of the suggestions for improved gameplay going to be worked in?
Is this an add on for previous owners or a new remake with additional scenarios?

I ask because I was a CAW fan and benefitted from many hours of enjoyable gameplay. Thanks for the info and any other details if available at this time are appreaciated.

Aren't we the elitist?

If they didn't want comments this would have been a one-post thread and not the four pages it has become.

I will also say make another WITP AE.

I have bought many games that had the Matrix logo on it.  AE has become my favorite game of all.  I have become a big fan of monster games.  I am glad to see that the Matrix team is still looking at them.

Matrix team thanks for your work.  I enjoy wasting my time and life because of you all.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, let me toss my hat in the WITP ring myself. The game has enough granularity as it is, but could benefit from a host of GUI improvements which would make fighting the Pacific War a whole lot less time consuming and allow us working stiffs a chance to complete a PBEM campaign in our lifetimes.

That said, I have purchased quite a few Matrix titles and just want to say "keep up the good work" to the Matrix team. You guys rock! I used to play Alpha Centauri a lot, but so long ago I forget in which decade, so a modern update on that would be huge. I'm also a bit curious what Piercing Fortress Europa is about. I'll google it next.

Cheers,
CC

There are long term plans for WitE 2 that will incorporate many of the changes in WitW but it's still a long way off. I believe it will be a new game rather than an update, but I'm only a tester, not a dev, so take that for what it's worth.
