Despite the movie is taking place on the Pacific it is pretty shallow.

Watch out as the name of the ship in the next sentence might spoil the plot.

However if you like a lot of explosions, aliens and would like to see the 'Mighty Mo' in action, you should go to the cinema.
I'm not going to comment the plot as it is only an excuse for explosions and more explosions.

Aliens 7/10
Battleship 10/10
Destroyers 8/10
Rihanna 5/10
Pathos 10/10

Overall 7/10

I alot of the movies today are that way, they remind me of a 2 hour video game(DooM the movie)(transformers).  So I'll probley wait on the rental.  Thanks for the heads up.

The new Star Trek movie was like that, just a lot of flashing lights and fast scenes and mind numbing special effects. Pretty much your basic modern day action flick. Even the 4th Indiana Jones movie was like that.

Curious. How should it go? Slow and viewed as a sleep aide alternative? A chick flick? Perhaps a high school hijinx flick?

Short of shooting the film up at the ISS, you're locked into a lot of special effects. Might as well make them "mind numbing."
