When I first tried to install, the installer hung when installing the Microsoft items. I tried again without installing and everything seems fine, although parts of the map appear shaded. I already have all three on my system. Do I need to install them from the installer?

Sorry for your initial issue there.

Does the game seem to run OK for you now?
And would it be possible to post a screen print to see what you mean by the maps appear shaded?

It seems ok but I just got it. Not the darkness in the middle of the attached pic. It seems to fo;;ow the cursor when I deploy.

That looks about normal to me – like the Fog of War type of thing. The maps do tend to be “shadowy” if you do not have a direct Line of Sight to that area. And that dark area is fairly blocked off by the hedge row.

The Devs might want to chime in and say about your install issue – but I’m thinking you’re good to have at it and enjoy the game.
