ORIGINAL: Yogi the Great Actually the thread activity has been a sad reminder of why some get rightfully irritated when the threads get "hi-jacked" and inappropriate, insulting, off topic, silly, and/or just plain stupidity takes over. The thread starter tried to recognize an important and somber event and probably hoped for appropriate and respectful replies. After about a half-dozen posts off it went. I think we all need a bit more restraint and respect for others who would like to participate in such discussions without having to see them turn into a bunch of the above. I know that I too need to keep watch on when and how I post. I have no problem with threads started for the purpose of fun, silly, non-sensical bantor, reasonable mutual friendly insults and the like, (in fact I enjoy them). However, maybe we should try to leave the other threads on topic and free of antaganistic and even intentional disruption. Sorry for the sermon and my off topic and perhaps ill-advised post, but something about this thread seemed to give a clear picture of how we tend to destroy threads to have a little fun and or even take joy at being antagonistic. I love the silly, weird posts on the silly and weird threads I start. But I do not like to hijack other people's threads. I am with you on this one.
