Seems like it matters little if a AGC Corp or AGC Army HQ (or a AGN or AGS HQ for that matter) fights with another Army Group as long as it stays within its superior AGC HQ command radius. Other than not getting SU support from it's superior command HQ, there seems to be no problem and you do not have to attach the HQ to a closer, superior HQ (in the different Army Group its fighting with.)

Not strictly true. Command ratings checks are less likely to succeed the further a unit is from the HQ of the leader making the check (see page 173 - 175 of the manual). It only appears to have little effect because German commanders on the whole have very good ratings meaning such checks are usually passed at Corp or Army level. Sadly for them, this is not nearly so common for the Soviets.

That's the reason I asked. When a German Corp "fought" it's way into another AGSector I would switch (painfully, in light of the AP cost) it to the nearby command. Accidentally, in a few games, I forget to and it seemed not to effect their fighting ability. Thanks !!!
